Jeez Oh Pete, it's only been a year & a half? Why does this feel like three years ago? Bunn you were even quoted there! WTF? This wasn't even on the AG thread, and there was such a thing then, I think - references a few posts up about it being dated Jan 2008 instead of 2009?

Are we having fun yet? Holy crap, how many of those folks are gone now? And wow the attitude of a couple of them has sure changed!

go fish- I don't hate ebay, I hate what it has become and who is ruining it-the idea was magnificent and the execution of such a noble experiment makes its downfall all the more tragic. Talking shit about a misguided moron like JD accomplishes nothing since he is so focused on his "vision" he HAS to regard the legitimate concerns of small sellers as *NOISE*. He is an elitist MBA and unless you have credentials that are better'n' his, you are beneath notice.

The only effective criticism he would understand is for everyone unhappy with policies to leave and close the accounts-he would find out really quickly that real revenues are based solely on the base of smaller sellers; the big boys will not stick around if they are stuck with the fees that were no longer being gathered in. The overweaning concern for the top 5-10% of the biggest sellers whilst ignoring the rest of the seller base is evidence of fiscal and fiduciary blindness...

I'm saying this is wildly entertaining.... and informative..
It's "about" the posters doing the talking, with incidental editorial voice-over.
This has the full spectrum of human mood, pain & emotion.
And a colossal amount of hair-pulling & blood-spitting between the humor and levity.

I'm sayin'......YEAH!

It is bad enough just reading the pain, anger and sense of betrayal on SC nowadays without putting in or tolerating ANY element of schadenfreude as in nosportss posts ("LMAO"-the most common response of this most common and despicable person)-the destruction of 100's of thousands of peeps means of maintaining income is not a wildly hilarious event by any means and I for one made the decision to leave ebay as a health and financial necessity...

I have had to adapt to doing local sales and I am doing well here at once a month selling at the local flea mkt and cashing in gold and silver found in junk jewelry bags. I am too busy to post most of the time and way too sympathetic to many peeps plight to appear to gloat over elements of life. I am one ailment from disaster and I am doing everything I can to maintain health and well being.

As well as you should protect yourself my friend. I understand yer situation all too well. No need to interject anecdotal short stories.

I do appreciate your input, just as I had requested. Do ya think any of the other members here will become aware of this posting activity? Is there a horn, bell or siren we can sound off?

I'll wait.

Am I getting this right? You wanna repost history on the web & charge for access? Ohh, the things folks have said that were evaporated... LOL!

Interesting. And PP's micropayments would be right up this alley. Dont' know if anyone else has the micropayment charges - 5 cents each instead of 30 cents I think it is. PP's pretty good if you choose to use, as opposed to eBay's Thou Shalt.

Shiite. I have a crap ton of saved posts I can donate to the cause. I'm almost done trying to match up the actual avatars with the Restaurant since the cam outin Feb & the thread started July 6, 08... I dinna think of saving it till Feb, and dinna figger out how to do it till March, just about the time they closed it... I did get to the 10K posts... put it all on CD & mailed to anyone who wanted it for the cost of mailing + a buck or so for the CD & the mailer.

I now have it as .pdf files in groups of 1000 posts.

I was saving something to lebennington from [] for a while - I hope they got it saved on their own now, cause I lost incentive to save it.

I'm saying I believe the files are still in my apple, not running, needs replacement keyboard, I wanna get it going and do something with them...why did I collect them? I had nothing else to do.
I would like to publish them and capitalize on it, cuz I have nothing else to do.

I'm on this box all the time. I have no life until I recreate one. I gotta start making money. There's NO jobs in this part of the land. I can't paint houses and stuff cuz the wetbacks wiped out the workplace, and I'm too fat and lazy (altho that can change if given an opportunity). And my fortune is gone cuz of bad investments and criminal activity against me. And paying bills and taxes and going along with the American way, sort of...

I know I'm a tad strung-out on recent stress and I don't seem to be communicating so well lately...but I say again:

I think files are still in my apple, I need to find out.
I want, & can crunch them for the Best Of and publish to the web and I MUST make money. Make my time collecting and publishing be worthwhile. It's a Job called Freelance Journalism.

Come back?

I'm experimenting now. I'm a total NOOB and need tech support for my project.
I'm learning, but the curve is waaaay ahead of me.
Look closely & see why I need an income. [hint- megabuckets ain't makin' it]
